The history of the brand Champion goes back to the early twenties. It was 1919 when the Feinbloom brothers established the company in Rochester, NY. A few years later they already managed to equip universities and colleges with their sportswear.
The idea of the Reverse Weave came from American coaches in the 40s. They wanted to wash all their athletes uniforms together without the risk of damaging them. To avoid horizontal shrinkage, they just turned the fiber fleece upright at the time of creation. To also avoid shrinkage in opposite directions, all Reverse Weave Sweatshirts feature two side panels as well as cuffs, neck and bottom which avoid the dispersion of heat during and after training.
